Colorbond®
Baked on protection
Colorbond® steel is made from a Zincalume® steel base (aluminium/zinc/ magnesium alloy) with a baked on polyester primer. It then receives a baked on protective colour coating that enhances its durability while adding design choice and aesthetic appeal.

Colorbond® is available in your choice of two grades:
- Colorbond® Standard – now with Activate™ technology enhancing the protective coating of the substrate of Colorbond® steel
- Colorbond® Ultra – offering extra protection for constructions in coastal areas within 200m of the ocean and constructions in industrial environments sustaining fumes or particulate fallout.

Durability
Highly durable, superior corrosion resistance, strong, hail resistant. Extensive testing and development over a 17 year period has seen Colorbond® revise its manufacturing processes. It now has a longer lifespan using its Activate™ technology. Bluescope Steel warranties are available on roofing up to 36 years depending on the product and location.
Maintenance
Areas such as wall cladding under eaves, garage doors and the underside of eave gutters, benefit from hosing down or washing with a gentle kitchen disinfectant every six months or more often in coastal areas.
Versatile
Lightweight, strong. Can be used on most roofing and cladding profiles. Incompatible with copper piping, galvanised gutters and lead flashings.
